Tales of Survival: Hunter the Sweet Pitty

Hunter and his father were abandoned in a lake bed near Joshua Tree, Calif. where they were discovered months later. Both dogs were in horrible condition. The Morongo Basin Humane Society took them in and nursed them back to health.

Hunter's father, Boomer, was later adopted, leaving sweet Hunter behind. Hunter who had little to no human interaction during his time on the lake bed is slowly learning to trust and love again.

Morongo Basin Humane Society, located in Joshua Tree, Calif., was established in 1972 as the Morongo Basin's No-Kill animal shelter. To learn more go to www.mbhumanesociety.com
